The
Lightnin' Bottle Band
Blues Based Jam Funk Reggae Rock
St. Louis, MO.
Since 2004, the Lightnin' Bottle band has been playing all over the St. Louis Metro area,
headlining events from New Year's Eve, the Mardi Gras, to Phillip-A-Looza benefit
concerts, and much more. Their trademark sound and high energy shows have become
must see events for friends and fans alike. With an ever evolving list of covers ranging
from songs legendary live rock gods from The Allman Brothers Band, The Grateful
Dead, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, The Who, The Band, Little Feat, Led
Zeppelin, and more to more contemporary acts such as The Black Crowes, Phish,
Sublime, Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic, Wilco, Pearl Jam, Ben Harper, and the like,
to more off the wall combinations such as Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Stevie Wonder,
etc... to blues masters such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert Collins, Freddie King, BB
King, and many others, their catalogue has something for everyone. Wowing people
with their interpretations of familiar music, their quirky mix ups, their concise jams and
power, they embody what a modern jam-band should be. Often welcoming guests from
other groups, who sit in and jam with the band at local shows, each show offers the
opportunity for something new. They've shared the stage with groups and members of
bands such as Madahoochi, Speakeasy, Jake's Leg, Treble Clef Palette, Tony
Campanella Band, 56 Hope Road, Bockman, The Hatrick,  and many many more.  Mixing
gritty vocals, dueling guitars, harmonica, drums and percussion, bass, and a whole lot
of punch, LBB has become a local St. Louis favorite.

Starting in 2009, a few of the guys started dabbling in the acoustic trio business. Liquid
Biscuit is an acoustic side project featuring members of LBB and often including Scott
Rockwood from Madahoochi. Playing smaller venues such as their weekly Thursday
bash at Satchmo's, and monthly stints at Longstreet Grill and International Tap House,
their sets include everything from the artists mentioned above to rare other nuggets
from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 2000's. This is hardly your average acoustic bar band.
Featuring guitars, harmonica, hand drums, noise makers, and more, these guys are all
over the map.
